Statement of Racial Injustice

Dr. David Plaxico and my staff stand with our national organization, the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and their statement on racial injustice and the disparities it causes in the healthcare arena. The tragic events of 2020 have saddened us but it has renewed our commitment to not only seek diversity and inclusion in our own workplace but to root out racism and injustice wherever it may live.

As a physician, I am charged by our oath "Do no harm" and I am dedicated to the preservation of human life regardless of color, creed, sex or sexual orientation. But this is no longer enough. We all must listen, learn, educate, and ACT so that we can be a part of the solution to end racial disparities in our city, country, and world.

As a practice, I pledge to continue to develop resources to help us engage in productive conversation and meaningful action. The process is not easy, but it is essential.
